Something isnt right here: the father says “we should ask them to take these two off our hands more often,” referring to the kids, but to say “more often” also implies that “these two” are being taken off their hands right now, but they are not.
The correct wording would be “we should ask them to take these two off our hands as well.” then the statement would make sense.
Teena did say “please,” and a customer can’t simply serve themselves. The point of a spa day is to be pampered. She has had quite a few drinks, but if overindulging makes a person a brat then we have many brats in the United States, and they can be seen in any town and on any street.
I don’t think so. Dad is saying “I can’t believe your parents gave us this incredible spa weekend.” And mom is replying “It must have cost them a fortune.” That’s hardly a conversation they would have if the grandparents had their own spa at the house. I think the joke is that the parents asked the grandparents to take the kids for the weekend and the grandparents rather paid a fortune for them all to go to the spa rather than take care of both their grandchildren for a few days.

Maybe, in a spa, you’re supposed to act like a brat? Being pampered and all?Not that I would know.
