They were just about to go to play in the glass elevator and then run up the down escalator. Doesn’t sound like spending money to me. Sounds more like being a dang nuisance. You rotten kids get offa my lawn!
Hey! Some of us are okay and responsible! I.e. me! Besides, I don’t even like the mall, except for the movie theater and bookstore. Especially the bookstore. You probably wouldn’t even notice I was there!
I remember my Dad having to go to a store and tell the manager that I was not stealing, had not ever stolen, and better not ever steal anything from his store when I was about 13. I was stopped for “looking suspicious.” I think as long as kids are behaving there is no reason to level contempt at them. At nearly 65, I am quite happy to have kids around as long as they are reasonably well behaved — and I find many of them are just that.

Malls are on the way out…‘way, way out. No other ’public’ space for people to gather?
The mall builders built an enticing trap for people with an iq of …well, twelve-year old development, of course…and now they can’t deal with it.

Better in a mall than on the street, If parents don’t want to spend time with kids, don’t blame them (the kids) for hanging out in malls.
