I remember my Dad having to go to a store and tell the manager that I was not stealing, had not ever stolen, and better not ever steal anything from his store when I was about 13. I was stopped for “looking suspicious.” I think as long as kids are behaving there is no reason to level contempt at them. At nearly 65, I am quite happy to have kids around as long as they are reasonably well behaved — and I find many of them are just that.
