The one where you’re back in school, and have no idea where you locker is or what class you have next, oh yeah, every couple of months for a while there. But no falling.
I had an opposite of this. While descending the steps at the front of the main library in Portland Oregon, I tripped on the bottom one, but rather than face planting, flew up through clouds on a shallow inverted parabola. Woke up before I struck pavement.
I had that dream a number of times when I was 11 and 12 years old. One night I finally realized it was a dream and decided to “see” what happened when I reached the ground. The earth opened up and I kept on falling seeing cartoon renditions of dirt, rocks and roots. I woke up out of boredom and never had the dream again.
I’ve hit bottom twice while dreaming. The first time was incredibly odd. When I hit, I awoke startled, and it felt as though something raised upward out of me and then “wooshed” back in, not unlike a large amount of water being dumped on a hard surface. My, my was my heart a-poundin’! I can also read in my dreams. Not sure why they say you cannot.
It’s worth it, Lio! Especially the part after you go splat, and you realize your guts are spread all over and all sorts of bones are broken and sticking out, and the pool of blood is spreading, and then the buzzards start showing up and plucking up the guts and swallowing them one gulp at a time, but then they pick your eyes out and you hear a scraping sound near your ear… and that’s all. A very refreshing sleep after that if you make it that far.
I have fallen in my dreams and hit, once. When I was awake enough, I realized I’d fallen out of bed and was on the floor. I’ve continued to have school anxiety dreams, however. I’m almost 70.

Happily, I don’t have that dream.

If you see a bathroom in a dream, don’t use it.

You’re going to have to find a way to overcome that mental block that keeps you from going splat, Lio!

I don’t think it’s possible to dream of the moment of impact. But the research must continue!
