Let him know Fred, he might buy you a treat!
I’m amazed that pennies still exist.
Either five quid or a fiver, that money was worth a lot more then than it is now.
Wallet he do without it?
You’re a dog. Money means nothing to you.
Hey, I’d pick it up, pay it no mind.
Fred remember a penny saved is a penny earned ! … Money is what gets you treats my friend ;-)
“Tell” him Fred! Five bucks is five bucks. Or in Britain, 5 pounds is 5 pounds.
Five bucks is five bucks, not worth much nowadays but still it may buy you a Hot dog and some water if your lucky. That’s if the water is free.
Paddy had heard that London streets were paved with Gold… Stepping off the train he spots a fiver in the gutter… “Nah… I’ll start work tomorrow…”
Someone else is sure to feel lucky when they pick it up later on.
Be a retriever, Fred. Then hound Mr. Dear until he notices.
What’s a ‘fiver’ in the UK? Here dropping a penny or even a nickel would be nothing nowadays, lol!
Pick it up anyway, Fred; it’ll buy him a pint at the local pub.
Sigh…
The pound used to mean a pound of sterling silver. Now it takes about 784 british pounds to buy a pound.
I’ve picked up pennies, dimes, nickels, and on occasion quarters. I’ve also found up to about at least $19 total. And this morning, on the way to the cat colony, I found a penny that matched the black top. That’s one more penny than I had before.
in 1963, around the time this was released, the a 5 £ note is equal to £63 now. Over $100 CAD
