I have used a C-PAP for twenty years. I never knew how tired I really was until I got that first 12 hours of sleep the day I got it. No problems with the mask.
Sleep Apnea is no joke, high blood pressure, stroke, vision problems, it doesn’t fool around. Get a CPAP, wear it and enjoy a longer life with a higher quality of life.
Apnea ought to be Adam@Home’s cause. He’s the perfect poster boy for it.
Sleep apnea would explain his conspicuous overconsumption of caffeine during the day, as well as his “not the brightest bulb on the tree” behavior. NOTHING messes you up like sleep deprivation.
I speak from experience. During a period when I had untreatable headaches, I felt like I was down 20 IQ points.
The machines also benefit the partners of sleep apnea sufferers… it’s not the snoring that kept me awake it was the silence when my husband stopped breathing! Like several others said it takes adjustment but it improves quality of life…

What Adam needs is to cut down his caffeine consumption.

A 32 AHI in a sleep apnea tests is bad. Means you stop breathing for 10 seconds or more, 32 times in an hour.
Somehow, in 2022, I had an AHI of 73. I stopped breathing an average of 12 MINUTES in an hour. (BUT in 10 second or more gaps)

My CPAP goes under the nose. I would think the coffee would keep Adam awake!
