A day at the cemetery isn’t necessarily morbid. I’m a volunteer guide at at historic cemetery in Philadelphia (where this strip is set). The physical location is beautiful, and many of the monuments are genuine works of art. And if that’s not enough, this specific cemetery offers, in addition to the tours, live (pardon the expression) theatre, concerts, movie nights, a book club, and a one of the most unusual flea markets anyone could ever imagine. Our superintendent has often said that if there could ever be such a thing as a happy cemetery, this is it.

Morbidly honest?

Would that be a near death experience?

I always thought that morbid was what they do at auctions.

Kat, Darren IS your real dad. He loves your mom and you as much as your biological dad did. Don’t ever think that either one was less real.

It took me way too long to realize she was meaning her dad is dead and not a cemetery worker that doesn’t have custody rights

Going to visit her birth dad for Dad-Daughter would be pretty sad. Especially without support.
