    Howdy Vagabonds

The morning git up temp was 34 trying to be 35, we also had had a very pink sunrise reflecting off the western ridge. The forecast says clouds and afternoon rain with a high of 55.

Well, heard that Ken Squire the voice of NASCAR racing for many decades, long time owner of Thunder Road race track and Radio Vermont Group and a relative if mine on my mother’s side has passed away at the age of 88. I did not know him well but found him easy to talk to.

In other news, it’s shopping day, whee!

Y’all have a great day, ya’hear and may God bless.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

We got up to 67 yesterday, not quite the forecast. We are looking for 69 today and are currently 10 degrees under that. Partly cloudy, which is probably more appropriately labeled partly clear. A bit of blue, but mostly wispy clouds. No more rain expected.

We developed a new leak in the sprinkler lines last night. It is one of the “mains” that is very near the surface instead of buried underground. And it was spraying so hard on the side of my house that it sounded like a massive rain storm with thunder mixed in. The landscapers came and fixed it this morning. That was a lot of water lost!

We also got the pool lights fixed yesterday. Finally. There is a GFCI outlet right next to the timer on the same circuit that had a loose wire. It kept tripping the circuit breaker. The electrician reconnected the wire properly, reset the breaker and everything works. He even reset the timer clock for us. And I checked after dark and they were on for the first time in months.

Two problems down. How many to go?

Yesterday was “Beaujolais Nouveau day”. The third Thursday in November is the release date for that wine. We first tried it while in France 28 years ago, and have found a place to get it on release day here in Vegas. It’s a very smooth red that hasn’t aged as long as you would expect. It’s bottled in August/September and released in November.

And today is our date night. Michael wants a salad bar so we’re going to Golden Corral buffet.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
