I got hubby a card knowing he would not have remembered. Because he shows disabled old me that he loves me every day. He’s out there shoveling snow off the ramp he built me when stairs became impossible. He built the deck into a storage porch so there would be enough room for me to move a wheelchair around the home. He still works a day or two a week because when a person is disabled and under age 65, the Medicare part B people charge twice as much, and we have a sick cat. Every day is Valentine’s Day when you remember to care for your partner. And yes, I take care of him too. But today I just wanted to thank him a little extra.
