Sorry, Cathy, but that’s a crock and you know it! There are several ways you can get 60 minutes of exercise every day ….. if not all at once, then most certainly in chunks:
1.) You can get up 15 minutes earlier in the mornings and exercise before you go to work.
2.) You can take a short, 15-minute walk on your lunch break.
3.) You can exercise for 30 minutes after you get off work.
And on the weekends, how difficult can it possibly be to find 2 hours out of 48 to exercise then? After all, you’re a single woman with no husband or kids to take care of for heaven’s sake! Get off your rear-end and take your poor, pudgy little pooch for a walk; it’ll do the BOTH of you a world of good. And don’t forget: there’s all that cardio you get whenever you go shopping at the mall for things you don’t need and can’t afford that count as “exercise”, too. See? I managed to find 60+ “impossible” minutes for you every day. You’re welcome! ;-)

An hour a day of exercise might be doable, but I’ll tell you something that’s not.
6-11 servings a day of bread, cereal, rice & pasta
3-5 servings of vegetables
2-4 servings of fruits
2-3 servings a day of milk, yogurt & cheese
2-3 servings a day of meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs & nuts
That’s 15-26 servings in all. If you follow those recommendations, you’ll spend so much time eating that you won’t have time to exercise.

Why not 12 hours a day of exercise? Be realistic, but don’t give up.

Set your workout machine in front of the TV. Don’t use one without using the other.

I manage to get in 60 minutes of exercise just about every day…I do only work part time, but I think it’s doable even with full time work.

Maybe if comic Cathy’s friend told her she needs “just an hour a day” of of exercise … ?
