The Republicans have been saying Social Security funds are running out since I was a teenager. I’m a late Boomer. It’s still going, and if they’re worried about it, get rid of the cap that lets the very well off stop paying it on income above a certain level; why should the upper incomes get to keep more of their pay than the lower ones? And I’m saying that as one of the ones who would be taxed more. I should be. ‘To whom much is given, much is expected,’ to quote the Bible and anyone with common sense.
