It’s natural for dogs to be afraid of vacuum cleaners. Just put Buckles in the garage for the time being so that he doesn’t have to worry about having to deal with the vacuum cleaner.
Girlie would simply leave the room when I entered with the vacuum until I used it on her one day – great grooming aid – now she wants another ‘comb out’ with it every time!

My dog doesn’t care about the vacuum. She knows to move out of tge way when I need to vacuum where she is.
