That’s me. Mom was always trying to get me into the kitchen and watch her make some of her recipes. I was never interested. Mom is gone now and I can’t go back. Would if I could.

It’s easier to eat than to cook.

Gluttonous Baldo is a consumer?

I suggested that Baldo get Tia to show him how to make empanadas but I figured he’d have enough sense to let her do it. One day he’ll be on his own (maybe) and he’ll wish he’d listened.

With Baldo I think it’s give a dozen.

Comfort foods require prep with a purpose for the people you care for.

A rolling pin? Seriously? I’ve never seen anyone use a rolling pin to make empanadas!

If a man can’t cook, he will surely die. If he can cook he will still die, but with a full tummy, hopefully not from what he cooked.

I’m glad I learned the basics of cooking from my mamma. BALDO! Get back here and spend some quality time with your tia!

Mom would have me pick the blackberries from the rear lawn for her cobbler, but i never hung around and watched her prepare it.. Wished i did.

I guess we’ll have to wait till tomorrow or Saturday for him to eat the last one.

Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he sits in a boat drinking beer all day.

Especially if the boy you’re talking about is Baldo.

I wouldn’t mind learning that.

Give it up already on the Empanadaa. Day after day is enough already!
