I’m getting the vibe that Fogarty hated Luann more than he hated Knute and most of the other students at Pitts (except for Gunther, Bernice and Delta).
Also, doing homework while babysitting is a stupid idea. Best to do it beforehand so you don’t have to worry later. Hopefully Luann learned something from this.
The current version of this is “I couldn’t log into the school site and do the assignment because of some combination of no internet, bad internet, password doesn’t work, web browser doesn’t work, Windows/Mac/Chromebook/tablet was incompatible.” Note that at the beginning of the semester, I tell students NOT to use Chromebooks or tablets, that there are Known Issues with older versions of certain web browsers, and that you can’t use MS Access on Macs or Chromebooks because it isn’t available unless you fire up a virtual machine… and if you know how to fire up a virtual machine, what are you doing in an intro to computers class…
Those who try this on me are typically not happy with the results.

Best to not be doing homework when babysitting. You are supposed to be watching the kids.

This is why if you have a project, you don’t babysit

She should have just pulled an all nighter and wrote it again.

My reaction would have been a lot like Fogarty’s.
