Lucy: What are you doing, Danae? Danae: Saving the economy. Lucy: OK, I'll bite... how are you going to save the economy? Danae: By making a wish list for my Thanksgiving Day presents. Lucy: Um... Thanksgiving Day gifts? Danae: Hey, a new tradition has to start somewhere! After I get my gifts, others will want in on the action. More and more people buying each other gifts will boost the economy, then repeat itself for Christmas! Before you know it, we go from bust to an economic boom! Lucy: Uhh... did you ever consider working in other factors like... oh, say... reality? Danae: And ruin a perfectly good economic theory? Don't be silly.

I’m surprised to see the similarities between Danae and Lucy, and that other famous duo, Calvin and Hobbes.

Huh?! Thanksgiving Day gifts? I felt like I was in Lucy’s shoes, I just pondered what Danae talked about the gifts on Thanksgiving Day. Too early to have the gifts before Xmas or wait till Xmas Day?? hee hee heeeee Well, maybe it is wise to buy gifts earlier than waiting too long to buy the gifts till Xmas Day.

Danae has got to be one of the smartest, smarmiest, young ladies I’ve ever read (YES, I KNOW SHE’s a cartoon) but man, she reminds me of a couple kids from Church
