Since Christmas music has be playing in the stores since before Thanksgiving, I’m a bit played out on it now. Thank goodness for Sirius Radio and lots of channels to listen to that don’t have Christmas music on them.
SOMA FM. Department store Christmas music and another channel of Christmas lounge music. All suitable to play for your grandmother on a Sunday after church.
My mom had a wrapping station — actually a counter with a peg board holding ribbon and scissors and a lower cabinet where half was 2 drawers for boxes and bows and the other half a vertical opening for bags. One side had a box attached to hold roles. She gave lots of gifts; her cats and dogs gave gifts; and we all did a lot of our wrapping there as well.
That was through the 80s, before we really started recognizing the associated environmental problems. We switched to bags and save them from year to year. The challenge is to find bags with the right “to” and “from” label already on it or find a label that covers the previous ones. We are also still using some rolled paper, although it tends to be rather brittle after 40 years. [And our cats and dogs still give gifts—keeps the Santa spirit alive.]
I have always been great at wrapping gifts – of any size or shape.
Now I wrap the Christmas gift for each of husband’s 2 nieces (aged 12 and 19). Only other gift for Christmas is his and presuming it fits in one of the many collected small holiday gift bags his gift is just dumped into same – why waste paper for him to get a gift he bought.
That is the sum total of our annual gift wrapping – I don’t get gifts so nothing has to be wrapped for me, if there was anything it would also go in one of those collected gift bags. (They come from old gifts – I would not waste money on same.)

My wife detests the song I’ll Be Home For Christmas. Her dad was killed in Vietnam just before Christmas 1967in a rocket attack.
