I love fruitcake! The way my Mother and Grandmother made it, that is. NOT the commercial kind.

Inedible.

Most don’t admit to liking fruitcake. It’s too much fun to disparage it. I warm it and eat it.

My Mother-in-law loved them. I use to get her one every year for Christmas….She said it took one to know one…God I miss that old woman.

Years ago I worked at a hardware store. One day the local baker came in and asked for a bag of Portland cement and I said “Now we know the secret ingredient in his Fruitcake”

Why not a fruit pie?

The cherry has now achieved immortality by being forever re-gifted and never eaten.

Maybe he’ll set a new distance record at the after-Christmas fruitcake toss.

What’s the difference between a cake and a biscuit………? If you leave a cake out it goes hard, if you leave a biscuit out it will go soft,,not a lot of people know that, eh Michael.

I make my own fruitcakes following the family recipe, and they are delicious. I need to make a second batch because I don’t have any for me, the ones I kept have been eaten.
