Whoa !!! That coffee of reality jolted you awake, Carmen? Maybe we need to build some more infrastructure and wouldn’t a few newly documented immigrants come in handy about now?

Lack of immigration makes your lettuce and oranges be $3 a piece.

Is that what you want Carmen??

    Once again:

Republicans want to CLOSE THE BORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Except they don’t.

    .

They have NO policy or policies they have proposed or passed (Republicans control the House). NONE.

When Trump was elected, they proposed NO legislation.

    .

Instead, they constantly scream that the border is OPEN whenever a Democrat is president, and claim it’s all under control when a Republican is president. (It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It). They do not pass, or even propose legislation. The ONLY solution they believe in, is The Wall, that they believe Mexico will pay for.

It is again, government by bumper sticker.

    .

What they DO, is to hire illegals at all levels of business, AND invoke massive amounts of H-1B visas, and other H-1 visas to import ‘legals’ who nobody tracks.

Their analysis consists solely of tracking crimes committed by illegals and screaming that none of that would have happened without the porous border.

I don’t always agree with Winslow, but in this case? He’s right.

Yes. “Only when it is convenient” is evil.

Life with too few immigrants is much more inconvenient than life too many. If Congress would set up proper immigration policies we could better handle the increase in immigration. They fail to give the president the tools he needs to do his job.

    “Puts a strain on infrastructure”

They pay taxes that go to repair the infrastructure.

Meanwhile, some billion-dollar corporations use the roads and infrastructure more than anyone and DON’T pay taxes.

Immigration is just fine. But there are established statutes defining the rules. Obey the law. Pretty simple. And if that isn’t what is appropriate, change the laws. There’s a process. We aren’t following it. Nowhere close.

Kind of overlooks the fact that that poem is on a statue near an official immigration port of entry. So, yeah, give us those folks, but do it legally.

Actually, illegal immigration is best. They do all the work we won’t do, have to pay taxes, and can never collect any benefits of taxes. Pretty sweet deal for the rest of us…

Republicans are the evil people who want to deny others entry into the USA.

Still, as important, humanitarian and necessary immigration is. immigration policy and implementation have to be well-thought of, studied and practiced.
