Cartoon physics question: what is that black thing between the Earth and Moon? It’s too small to be the Earth’s shadow and too curved and small just to be the dark side of the moon. I think the Earth is about to be obliterated.
Years ago one of the hosts on The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour said “In this business we stay away from rumors and speculation but when we do use them we call them ‘unconfirmed reports.’” Now when I hear that phrase I think “Hmm, I’ll wait until they have some ‘confirmed’ reports!”
