Few people are willing to “vote with their wallets” and boycott, or at least dramatically decrease their consumption of, products that degrade the environment via their manufacture and/or use. As such, the COP leaders who say that the future of the planet isn’t worth a mote of short-term sacrifice represent their constituents well.
