Oh come on. This guy is on disability and has an apartment. There are people here in Seattle who have apartments paid for and still hang out on the street with the other druggies.
Here is San Diego our Mayor has a clear the streets policy, even though we are about 1,000 beds short of the ability to put everyone in a shelter. One of the people our group has helped, was rousted out about 2 wks ago. He was a sick, old, Black man, confined to a wheelchair. They threw out all his stuff including the winter coat we had just given him. The next morning his friends found him slumped over in his wheelchair dead, he could not survive the cold.
Those who you who have contempt for the homeless might pause to consider that was someone’s Father/Brother/Friend who our society just threw away, they didn’t care if he live or died. Is this REALLY what you want from your community?

What’s going on? And this guy isn’t your “bud” if you’re kicking him out of his home.

Could be the cops came by and just took him to the homeless shelter for the night. May have seen a forecast for an overnight freeze. It happens.

With all the abandoned buildings in Detroit, invite the homeless there before the buildings are torn down.
