I suppose Joel could well be the last mall Santa in the Charlotte metropolitan area, as the way things are going this may be the last operating mall in North Cackalakey.
Welcome to every kid on the Eastern Seaboard, boys.

The conductor may have snoozed all evening (missed dinner entirely!), but I still had about an hour and worked up a three-handed update for the 16th.
Rick runs into an ‘outlaw’ who is just *barely on the outs. He was only going to let him slip away, out of kindness I suppose.
We get Jack Benny characters showing up in Gotham (or at least a nod to Bea Benaderet and Sara Berner), and a reference to a new TV sensation. And I learned that “Candid Camera” actually started as a radio program called “Candid Microphone” in 1947.
Rufus is a fascinating character, as it seems impossible to upset him. All I got is a Laurel, and Hardy handshake to see off this storyline. Unless we find out if the Wet Dogs actually let Rufe into their club after all this. Seems unlikely.
