Sherbet was actually invented in Arabia. They discovered that water in very shallow pans would freeze in desert winds at temperatures up to 40 degrees. The ice would be stored in deep wells during the daytime.
If it’s fruit, it’s not sugar-free…trust me, I’m an admin. of a large worldwide diabetic group. Fruit has sugar built in.
