There is an old joke that there is only one fruitcake in America but it just keeps getting past around. (If it’s a good one, lots of pecans and candied cherries, it would stop with me)
Our family loves fruitcake. I always wait for Costco’s Christmas fruitcake.
I’ve never given fruit cake as a present to anyone, because of all those awful jokes about it.
My mother used to bake fruitcake and I have her recipe, but it is a lot of work. Her fruitcake was the best. People used to put in orders for her fruitcake.

Check today’s “Argyle Sweater” strip. It will give Chaz ideas about what to do with it.

Chas, you produced a lot of gratitude along that trail. Hint: If you don’t want it regifted, make it chocolate.

Am I the only one who loves fruitcake? At least I don’t have to share it with anybody else. ;-)

A very nice synthesis of the ever-circling fruitcake meme and Norman Rockwell’s “The Gossips”.
