Plus, his notes are all in German. That’s actually why Einstein’s last words are lost to time, they were in German and his nurse didn’t understand that language.
“With pleasure I can picture you children gathered together during the holidays, united by a harmonious spirit instilled by the warm glow of Christmas lights. But also remember the lessons taught by the one whose birthday you are celebrating: Learn to be happy through the good fortunes and joys of your friends and not through senseless quarrels; your burden will seem lighter or more bearable to you, you will find your own way through patience, and you will spread joy everywhere.” (1935)
“Christmas is the festival of Peace; every year it comes in its own good time. But peace inside and among us can come only through persistent effort. This holiday reminds us that all people yearn for peace. Every year it admonishes us to be vigilant against the enemies of peace that lurk inside all of us, lest they cause harm not only at Christmastime but throughout the year.” (1948)
Einstein got the idea because he understood that a person in a train going 50mph throws a ball at 50 mph will see the ball travel 50 mph. However someone watching from a stationary position outside the train would see the ball travel either 100 mph or 0 mph depending on whether the ball was thrown with the train’s direction or against it.
But we are unable to see a difference in the speed of light regardless of whether or not the light is traveling the same direction as the planet or against it. So he wrote an equation where it makes sense that light has a constant speed.
It’s actually a very good example of time relativity. To the child, Christmas will take forever to arrive. To the parent, there’s not enough time to finish the shopping.

Hey, Caufield, he may formulated E=mc2 on New Year’s Eve.

The relativity example he seemed to prefer was spending 10 minutes sitting on a hot stove versus 10 minutes kissing.

I might read his writing. Nurses learn to read doctors’ penmanship.

He may have been on a different time plane when he wrote it and the lines are stretched and smashed into infinity (and possibly beyond).

Wasn’t Einstein Jewish?

Time is relative until it’s time to go visit your relatives.

BTW, Most of Einstein’s notes were never completely lost. Many were left to a university. More have been found in the archives of Hebrew Univ. See >

I’m certain Einstein wasn’t concerned about Christmas.

I thought they were out of school this week since Christmas and New Years are on Mondays.

Einstein had multiple very big ideas, not just one. And, being Jewish, he never waited for Christmas to come.

Einstein was raised as a Jew—probably didn’t celebrate Christmas.

Einstein being Jewish was why he came to the US from Germany.
