The relativity example he seemed to prefer was spending 10 minutes sitting on a hot stove versus 10 minutes kissing.

Plus, his notes are all in German. That’s actually why Einstein’s last words are lost to time, they were in German and his nurse didn’t understand that language.

I might read his writing. Nurses learn to read doctors’ penmanship.

For procrastinators this week goes by too fast.

He may have been on a different time plane when he wrote it and the lines are stretched and smashed into infinity (and possibly beyond).

Einstein got the idea because he understood that a person in a train going 50mph throws a ball at 50 mph will see the ball travel 50 mph. However someone watching from a stationary position outside the train would see the ball travel either 100 mph or 0 mph depending on whether the ball was thrown with the train’s direction or against it.

But we are unable to see a difference in the speed of light regardless of whether or not the light is traveling the same direction as the planet or against it. So he wrote an equation where it makes sense that light has a constant speed.
