    It does sometimes feel like there’s a theme amongst the comics on this site, like they were given a prompt such as “golfing” or “outhouses”..!

    Write what you know! I’m sure most cartoonists have had this comment as well. It’s great for somebody to acknowledge that they enjoy most your work but perhaps are stumped on a specific one. Most often, people are looking for a standard gag or joke, when the cartoon may just be an amusing observation, or Slice of Life.

    Klondike Ike was a little known brand of ice cream which tried to capitalize on the popularity of Dwight Eisenhower after WW2.
