I was always opposed to money. my grandparents kept saying what they were paying for their other grandkids, and I, who lived across the country, just wanted to spend as much time with them as I could. I spend my money to buy time to spend with those I love. I wish everyone thought this way. things are disposable. loved ones aren’t. yet they have limited time here on earth.

Somehow, I am still paying my adult child’s phone bill. I need to change our combined bill into her name and leave it that way.

Long ago, my parents did help to pay for my college education, but that was it. The majority of that came from scholarships and loans which I paid off. I don’t consider that a brag, but advice to others.
