Agnes, dear, it’s called “nail” polish.

    That’s a hint.

Maybe if you were drawn with fingernails they would stick.

Nail polish sticks to my skin better than to my nails.   One of the reasons I don’t wear nail polish.

I bought a used mobile home many years ago.

It had aluminum siding. It had screws attaching the aluminum siding.

The heads on the screws were rusty and had stained the siding.

I considered getting screwdriver, a nut driver, and replacement screws to replace those old things. Then I thought about nail polish. I bought myself a $1 bottle of clear acrylic nail polish at a discount store. The cheapest nail polish they had.

I painted the head of every screw on the outside of that old trailer with the polish. Nothing but nail polish.

After the first time it rained, I noticed the rust stain under each head had disappeared for the first foot below the screw. The next time there was about a 2 ft gap.Over time all signs of rust other than the screw heads themselves was gone. They were still rusty but encased in nail polish.

I kept it several years before selling it to someone else. It survived multiple hurricanes. It had many problems, but it never gave a problem again with those heads. The nail polish never failed.
