Well, that’s what dictators do, isn’t it? After gaining total power and authority, the next day they give it all up and return to a constitutional democracy. Happens all the time.
Have a little faith that Trump will be convicted in one (or more) of the cases he’s in. Odds are, if convicted, he will face house arrest at Mar a Lago instead of federal prison (though I still have a rather nice mental picture of Trump “conceding” the top bunk to his cellmate). If such be the case, his oversized ego would keep him in the race in some way. He might even run as a third party candidate in November, which would siphon off a large number of votes from the GOP nominee (likely Nikki Haley, but we’ll see how the primaries go). I’m just saying that the 2024 race might play very differently from what the current coverage would have you believe. One year is an eternity in politics.
As opposed to the whole of the Demmy party and its supporters demanding that everyone do, think, act and believe 100% in accordance with the left’s beliefs regardless of outcomes. Oh, wait. Isn’t that what a dictatorial tyrant does???Seriously more than a large percentage of tyrants and dictators down the ages seem to have been from the left so today’s lefties shouldn’t shout too loud.

So, he’ll treat it the same way he treated his wedding vows. It won’t be just on day one, it’ll be from day one onward.
