When you have foam on your vente latte, the most important ingredient being steamed is gesso.

We enjoy Horace very much. Yesterday my spouse’s daily haiku and graphic complement (Found at substack dot com as “17 sounds”) was in appreciation of Dark Side of the Horse.

I also enjoy Horace. I have horses here at home. One of them has Horace tendencies, in humour and thought. He is a fave with guests : )

I’ll save everybody the time: “Gouache is a water-medium paint consisting of natural pigment, water, a binding agent, and sometimes additional inert material.” You’re welcome.

Don’t worry Horace, if it produces the effect you want you can mix any materials you like. It’s still art and it’s called mixed media.

Gouache the floor Horace, there’s paint everywhere!

Made me think of several, now famous, Hollywood actors (Sidney Poitier, Mark Ruffalo, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc) who were summarily informed when starting out, that they’d never have a career in acting.

A bit too watered down for my taste.

Huh… Now I REALLY don’t get the comic strip!

I bet he has more to confess, but I suggest not doing it, cos they’ll just try to steal ideas.
