You may run Rover, but you can’t escape the vet and her needles.

Well, he’s totally not a good example for his family! But it’s understandable!

The great escape.

My shiba inu is that bad. They have Cheez Whiz for dogs like her. My job is to distract her with the Cheez, while vet works fast. I am always exhausted by a vet visit. Dog prances out.

And Daddy wasn’t allowed to escape! (Neither was I, when I was a child.)

Aw, poor Shawm – it’s not his fault he’s afraid of shots (or the vet). Kate should be in there to make him feel safer.

I’m trying to think of a way to do it so he doesn’t know what’s coming…can’t think of anything but Cheez Whiz…

Love the animation in the second and third panels; the art almost explodes off the page.

Our dog used to freeze up as soon as he realized where he was headed. He loved car rides but as soon as we passed certain landmarks, he knew the destination. So someone had to literally carry his 60 lb butt into the vets and into the exam room.

I had a chicken dog, and the vet told me to drop by randomly and just weigh my dog. She got over her fear after a few stops without anyone doing anything else to her.

Yeah, keep thinking Daddy is playing, Sirius.

Poor scared Shawm! But the drawings here are even better than usual. Such great energy.
