Typically the Arlo of the house thinks everything is so good already that we just need more of it. On the other side of the coin, the Janis of the house has a detailed list that she’s waiting for Arlo to wake up to.

Lackanookie is always a compelling factor.

Never has a comic strip brought out the “Match Game” mindset in me like this one has over the years.

If that goal isn’t ambitious enough for her, tell her you’ll start including more hugs for other women.

In the last panel, Arlo should have said: “No, I’ve made other, very important resolutions. We can discuss them in bed”.

I’ve always been opposed to New Years resolutions. I’ve found that self-improvement will or won’t happen regardless of any calendar-based formality. Self-shaming over that fact is counter-productive.

My New Years resolution is not to make New Years resolutions.

Sometimes a hug will getcha there, sometimes it won’t.

took me a few year to convince SWMBO that no resolutions means NO RESOLUTIONS. Been that way for 33 years with her and about 51 of my 72 years.

She’s onto him, isn’t she?

I’m sure she has a list of ways he could improve.
