It is a trap.

My students never believed me when I told them that being grown up mostly consists of paying bills. I didn’t conceive of such things as a kid, either.

Its been a week since I’ve bought my new shoes, not one person has asked me if I can run fast in them. Being an adult is stupid!

There is a less desirable option to growing up.

Once you retire, if you’re blessed with good health and some money, you can be a kid again. Of course, this is not promised to everyone so enjoy childhood while you can! I wish I hadn’t been in such a hurry to grow up!

. . . and yet. . . you guys are always complaining about something. . .human condition and all that. . .

No one ever asks me what my favorite dinosaur is. It’s like they don’t even care.

What’s the alternative jmworacle?

Not everyone grows up. Some just get older.

Not something you have to worry about, being cartoon character.

Everyone grows up but not everyone becomes an adult.
