When I was stationed at the Great Lakes Navy base near Chicago the parking always filled up. And if you came back after dark it was very hard to see the lines for parking spaces. I came out one morning to find that all the cars in the lane where I’d parked were about 2 feet over the lines (we simply parked next to each other, someone at the beginning had someone started out wrong). A tow truck was there hauling them off but he was several cars away when I got into mine. The driver hustled over and insisted that I pay $50 even though he hadn’t towed me yet. I told him that I didn’t have the money and I was taking my car no matter what. He wanted my name and dorm room number so he could collect later, which I knew was illegal. So I gave him a fake name and fake room number.

How many more months will the story arc drag on?

I’m wondering if this will end up in court, as the ‘no parking’ sign was covered by snow when they parked there.
