It’s about time he learned. Sheesh!

I remember reading that Dustin Hoffman hated his name as a kid because he was always being compared to a dust bin.

The child needs to read more.

Also tell him to change out of the green shirt. It smells bad.

Growing up in a small mid-western town in the 1950s, I wasn’t even up on the slang back then.

Somebody get this boy a slang dictionary.

The dustbin, right next to the icebox.

However, this is not a US term, and I can understand his confusion if his reading doesn’t include contemporary British novels.

Garbage can or trash can or “the trash” or the wastebasket (in the house). But dustbin isn’t even an accurate descriptor!

I don’t have a dustbin, I have free range dust.

So do spectators at Cheyenne Frontier Days night shows (my former church had the contract to clean up after them the next morning for a couple years).
