We’re not even to snow on the ground in Chicago yet, but we’re due to get the first shovel-worthy snow by the morning, or on Tuesday if this pass doesn’t measure up.

What kind of sharks are these that live in a place where saltwater freezes every winter?

Thuds will probably last until April, unless we have an unusually mild winter. The ice hut owners in our area are already complaining, although I’m told it’s perfect weather for making snow.

There’s no Thud here, and there hasn’t been. It has been one of the warmest Decembers ever recorded.

I do not miss the snow in the northeast. Now in Atlanta suburb and it’s a rarity, but it is cold, so we get a “real” winter.

THUD is what I hear when the snow falls off the roof. Glad to see that Louie is safe.

Yup. THUD is about how highly I think of winter, myself. Bring on spring and summer. (Happy to see Louie escaped disaster, though.)
