Letting kids win is not a good idea. They get the idea they should always win, and that sets them up for failure in real life. Real life is a harsh mistress.
My granddaughter used to beat me at “Chutes & Ladders” all the time. I even tried cheating to win, but to no avail. We have not played in 15 years, so I still do not have a win over her.
