As I concluded long ago, aside from the limited advantages the Medium has over past ways of interacting, the disadvantages far outweighed the purported opportunities for advantages. Paging systems were 24/7 work tethers and it didn’t get much better from there, just more ‘entertaining’. Adult imaginary friends and commercial parasites.
