Do they typically interview HS kids after a game?

P2: Leo gives the “we’re not worthy” to Marty.

P4: “…but first this word from Dr. Feelgood’s rehab clinic. Take it from me, it works!”

I see this strip is rated 1 out of 11….this one goes to eleven.

If 6 for 12 merits the interview, the others must have been pretty bad. Or did Leo have an exceptional game otherwise — rebounds, defense, assists etc.?

P3.5 “If I can get past the Fistpump gang without being beaten to death.”

Is Gil there too? Or is he still at midnight bowling….

Clearly Marty just loves saying Leo’s last name: “A-TAZ-HOON!!”

I got whiplash from all this storyline jumping. If Matlock shows up, I’m putting him on retainer.

Wait…. weren’t we bowling yesterday? I see HB’s Arc-Of-The-Day wheel of Fortune is back in action.

Did Hot Rod Barnes ditch the team and turn pro already? I’m so misdirected. On a side note, it’s nice to see the Fist Pump Family enjoying a nice outing.

Leo really ought to have a higher FG percentage than that, considering that he’s driving against a one-armed defender.

It seems that he’s reached that long plateau, where a dry life extends endlessly before him and, while he’s not in immediate risk of backsliding, it’s hard to shake off the lethargy and emotional numbness. Oh, it’s in from midrange. Oh, Leo Atazhoon is going to be interviewed on the podcast. Ho hum. Nothing exclamation point-worthy. Look at these young men celebrating. Marty used to be like that once. Marty used to feel things. This strip needs to do right by our boy Moon and give him a wild and wacky subplot, something that’ll get him to snap out of it!

Well this is the first MUT strip of 2024 to not be guaranteed a spot in the current top ten. Oh well. And speaking of well, you’d be well advised to read Mopped Up Thorp anyway.
