This is another definition of “fresh” that I wasn’t aware of.

Brutus is at the restaurant, well dressed, all alone. What happened? Just a little escape from the routine, I hope.

Freshly frozen, as opposed to fresh caught. Look for the menu’s fine print next time.

It was fresh when they froze it

Tell chef to cook it in the microwave at 50% power. The time it takes to thaw will be offset by the time it was being cooked. Then take it out, throw it on the grill for a few minutes on each side, and you’re good to go.

I had just one time where something I ordered needed to be thawed, that was a piece of lemon merengue pie. Left the restaurant and bought a whole pie for what one slice would have cost me.

I thought for a moment that the server was going to tell our hero that the chef had to go and catch it first. This way is much more humorous.

Yeah, that’s about right if you’re inland. Fresh seafood is hard to get.

Not quite truth in advertising. But it probably is healthier than the fresh frozen steak, is more in line with your “diet” and would probably take less time to thaw……

I will say the Born Loser eats out at better restaurants than I do! Is Veeblefester hiring?

The hook (to catch the diner) is ‘fresh brook trout.’

Well as usual the Born Loser made the right decision when selecting his restaurant.

Only order fish that’s ‘wild caught’. Fresh trout can be farm raised.

“OK” Brutus queries, “what have you got that’s fresh?” The waiter replies “Tap water, it’s not bottled, it’s fresh from the tap. How long have you been eating in restaurants, ”…

At least the waiter is honest. I once ordered fish in a restaurant and the outside was delicious, but the inside was frozen solid.(I never went back to that restaurant.)

Never mind …

The chef lives about thirty minutes away, so it’s a good thing Brutus didn’t order home fries.
