Again, a lack of understanding here. Although handguns can be used offensively, they are meant to be used defensively. If anyone uses a handgun offensively, they should and ought to be in for BIG trouble… and with that you better be DARN sure that you have a real need to use a gun defensively! Case in point above: if some punk is “acting crazy”, there is NO justifiable reason to draw the gun. Unsurprisingly, this strip is showing a lack of training and understanding on the part of the comic character, because of – and more so – the same old general anti-gun misconception (and misrepresentation!) on the part of the writer about people who DO carry.
Yes, there are idiot gun carriers, just as there are idiot car drivers. Those who drive carelessly and offensively cause trouble, accidents, and may even kill someone by their stupid actions. Those who drive with awareness, cautiously and defensibly tend to avoid accidents and stay safe. A tool is a tool; it is the INAPPROPRIATE USE of the tool that is the problem.
FYI: I’m completely in favor of official training and certification, but it needs to be readily available and FREE. Poor people have as much right to properly defend themselves as the rich do. I’m quite disgusted by the rich anti-gun folks that have armed body guards.
I want to know why you have the cafe owner a person of color? With the way you have this politically slanted, I’d think you’d have him as a old white guy, and Rudy as the black man. Ever watch Shane? A gun is just a tool, like a knife, a shovel, a hatchet. I support everyone who wants to open carry.
I am so happy to live in a state where businesses, churches, private homes, etc., have a legal right to say “you have the right to carry your little toy… but not on my property.”

Now it’s official, Trump won the Iowa caucuses. This guy, carrying a gun, is just celebrating.

So many gun “enthusiasts” are just itching for an excuse to start shooting in public.

Guns may just be tools, but like owning a hammer tends to makes ones problems look like nails, so does owning a gun make bullets look like solutions.
