That’s just compassion. It has nothing to do with being a plugger.

Mom never went anywhere. But every time I went any distance away I’d call her when I got home. Into my 50’s. I miss doing that. And I missed calling to tell her about taking my son on a college visit yesterday too. Love you Mom.

So non Pluggers not gives a darn that their parents has reach safely or not? Non Pluggers is truly non fortunate.

What self-respecting Plugger would use one of them newfangled phones that don’t have a cord? Why, the whole world can hear what you’re saying.

Tis good to pay attention to all who are important in your life ;-)

Or you call them to let them know you made it home safely.

Before the pandemic, I would ride my bike 12 miles to work. I would call my wife, to let her know I got there safely. After the pandemic, and I started working from home, I walked upstairs to my home office, called her from there, to let her know that I got to work safely. Got a good laugh from her..

Just track their phone.

I wish mine would call more often. I refuse to turn into my mother and call her five times a day.

One of those things I never understood. Why?? One can’t do anything either way.

Anyone else who would make a long distance collect call to themselves to let someone know you got home safely?

Waitaminnit…doesn’t everyone at least text family & friends on arrival at the end of a trip?

I used to call my mom when I got home, let it ring twice and hang up. No long distance charges on my phone. Obviously, this was before cells.

And vice versa, even though your kids are in their 30s.

Especially Mom’s mother. After Papa died, she was quite at traveling solo by bus (50s and 60s). And after we visited her we would call to let her know we were home.
