Air Time? Not so much…“air time” is used for licensed radio and TV stations broadcasting from a tower. What I think the terminology Rob is looking for is “column inches” .
I love the strip and this is a great idea to pursue. As for some of the comments, I really wish people would keep the negative stuff to themselves. It’s just unnecessary and rude.
I like this strip also. For those who have been upset that Nick and Gumbo were not seen enough – well, now they seem to think it is too much.
There is the story of a woman who was walking with her young son. A giant wind gust comes and blow the boy away. The woman is beside herself in grief, crying and praying to God for him to bring the boy back. Suddenly another gust of wind comes up in the opposite direction and the boy is miraculous back beside her. She looks up to the sky and says “He had a hat.”.
Basically there were calls for more of Nick and Gumbo and now that we have more of same, instead of saying “How great – we were listened to”. Well, it is the equivalent of “He had a hat.”
Thank you for the strips – and for including Nick and Gumbo.

Now we’re getting to the point. People have been asking to see them more. And so we shall see them more.

I’m starting to wonder if Adam didn’t make the coffee using the aquarium water.

No to the cop show. SF has been done to death on Calvin and Hobbes. Mysteries are hot right now…. Superheroes maybe?

Nick and Gumbo definitely need more air time.

To please all is to please none. In the nick of time, we’ll have some gumbo.

Nick and Gumbo should be lobbying Rob, not Adam.

Go for it. I get tired of the coffee addicted pre-diabetic that is Adam and the snot nosed brats. These two could be fun.
