Guess we are back to reality… uh comic reality.

How could Laura stand being in bed with him after a sardine pizza?? YUCK!!

She’s right. Eating pizza late at night usually brings on bizarre and convoluted dreams, bordering on nightmares!!

Not to mention gas (or even worse).

Hope that we now see some more Nick and Gumbo (although not in dreams)!

Well that was a fun little story line. I look forward to seeing Nick and Gumbo again sometime next year.

Never really understood how eating something weird before bed could give you weird dreams.

Sardines? Could be worse I suppose, but outside of topping it with something thoroughly disgusting, I’m not quite sure how.

Why do people always blame food? Too cliché and not hinged on reality. I sometimes will try to eat before bed just to have vivid bizarre dreams, there’s no controlling them.

But that’s the only way he gets creative. And I guess being creative is weird to him.

My Dad brought some, uh, interesting culinary choices with him when he came to Canada, much to my Mum’s (a backwoods Hillbilly Canadian girl) chagrin. We didn’t get our first Pizza Hut in our small town until I was in High School, so Adam’s choice was not an option, and even then Dad didn’t like it.

BUT…Dad would take Mom’s freshly baked bread, big strong winter onions from the garden, his favourite, very ‘fragrant’ blue cheese and either tinned sardines or kippers and make a sandwich.

It sounds vile, and probably was. But we lived on a farm and chances are we wouldn’t see anyone else on a given day (for some reason, Mom wouldn’t let me take one of these sarnies to school) so we were safe…fact is, it tasted really good.

But some of my lunch choices probably explain why I didn’t find a girlfriend until I was 30

Not a fan of Gumbo however I wanted to see the siblings going at it like more like kids do. You have the brother sister rivalry whose side is Nick on and when cornered go to the younger sibling’s bag of tricks. Also I figured he’d be walking by now.

He probably showered and brushed his teeth. Maybe used some mouthwash.

Sardines, big mistake Adam, it’s ANCHOVIES, ANCHOVIES, got it!…

I really enjoyed Gumbo and Nick.

Is that what’s referred to as “sardonic wit”?
