I graduated from a rural high school in the Missouri Ozarks in 1971. My graduating class had twenty guys and ten girls. There were twenty girls as freshman, but half dropped out over the four years of high school. Some of those were even voluntary.
In NJ there were 850 of us in my class. Moved to Western New York for senior year, there were 335 people. I didn’t like the smaller school much. The NJ school had 3 years, and class registration was similar to college. You had to build your schedule and get into the class. They assigned you classes at the smaller school. Never went to a single reunion. Go figure.

I could see Dan stroking a cat in his secret lair under the volcano, forcing his minions to bring him MORE STAMPS! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

My mom’s high school graduating class, 1936 in Adair, IA, had 50 kids. Enough survived that they had a 50 year reunion.
