I never had a cat that used a scratching post. They all loved the corrugated cardboard scratching pad with catnip they sold at Trader Joes.

Good thing she wasn’t too drunk to think of this.

Nice to see she has some cat friends at least.

Seems to be mighty high priced.

When my wife bought a triangular version of one of those, I was skeptical that her cat would pay any attention to it. I was wrong – her cat loved it, as did every cat she had after it passed (there were many). Except for her current cat – it doesn’t pay any attention to it. Go figure?

My wife trained our cat to claw the scratching post for cat treats. She still can’t believe her luck.

I’ve got a cat that religiously uses her scratching post. I also have one that uses the loveseat, another that uses the back of my computer chair, and another that uses the mat in front of the kitchen sink.

Cybil should be careful. As Lio used a screwdriver to tighten the scratching post bolt she’ll have a few flatten customers to compensate soon. And the cat in charge being under influence at the time won’t help her case…
