I’ve heard of people being overserved cocktails, knowing they shouldn’t drive and deciding to sleep in their car. Then getting a DUI ticket. My town is full of bars, and a strict no overnight parking policy. People get drunk and take an Uber home, then find their car was towed because they chose not to compound their mistake.
I pulled over to get a little nap one night. Had my family with me. I was woken by a policeman asking if we were alright. I told him I was just getting a little nap. He said I should find a place a few more miles down the road. I was less than a quarter mile from a prison and it wasn’t a safe place to stop.
