Used to have a really good friend— loved her most of the time, but she would gush over anyone with more melanin than we had. She welcomed my Black neighbors to the neighborhood. They were living here when I moved in a decade ago. She never saw a Black baby she didn’t want to steal- to the point of actually scaring some of their mothers. She was a great person, but raised in a rural, all white area, and just wanted to be nice, but it was embarrassing for everyone concerned.

The black family will think it is a protest againdt thrm buying in a white nrighborhood. Just wait to see if they buy it and then introduce yourselves.

We’ve had a couple of black families move into what has here-to-fore been an all-white neighborhood. They’re nice folks. They keep their yards up and their cars clean. The kids are respectful to us older folks, and polite to all. Where’s the problem? One of my neighbors was trying to talk down about them moving into the neighborhood, and I told her they seemed like nice people, I didn’t have a problem with it. Now I see her kid out playing with them all of the time, lol. Such foolishness.
