In the ‘80s I worked with a guy who witnessed an even like that. The star player on his son’s soccer team skipped practices and didn’t take coaching well. The coach told the kid that if he missed another practice he would be benched. The kid missed practice and the coach benched him. The kid’s father went for the coach and they had a knock down drag out on the sidelines.
