The Groundhog Day version of "T’was the night before Christmas "?

Why not? Another holiday, cheerfully trading gifts and groundhog roast with all the fixins!

no Groundhog Day here this year. The original rodent died in 2022 and the state gamekeepers have not been able to catch and train another one since.

“If the groundhog sees his shadow, then it’s six more weeks of winter.” I understand that. But what is supposed to happen if he doesn’t see his shadow? Three more weeks of winter? Nine more weeks of winter?

I gotta get my Groundhog’s day cards out

Cookies??? I’ve always thought sausage was Groundhog tradition.

The Weather Channel considers it the most important event of the year. The only time they are more excited is when some weather disaster occurs. “Your baby was blown 3 towns over, how do you feel?”

We were making Groundhog’s Day cookies back in the 80s.

Groundhog Day is my favorite. Followed by Earth Day. All other holidays are marred by deaths.
